Dundalk Credit Union is one of the largest Community Credit Unions in the Country with 25,000 Members and approaching €200M in assets. 

They are embarking on a significant expansion programme as an outcome from their new 2021 Strategic Plan.  Their planned growth demands significant change to their existing organisation structure.

Deputy CEO 

The Position
The Deputy CEO (DCEO) will report to the CEO and have responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Credit Union’s operations with responsibility for Finance, Credit, Credit Control, Member Services, ICT, Risk Management and Compliance.  Further principal responsibilities of the DCEO will be as follows:

Support the development and execution of our 2021 Strategy and ensure operational alignment with the overall objectives of the Strategic Plan
Co-ordinate all units of the Credit Union to act in an effective and cohesive manner
Ensure the delivery of timely and accurate financial management reporting
Oversee and manage the investment portfolio and treasury resources of the Credit Union in line with policy, business and regulatory requirements
Oversee the optimising of asset liability management in line with the Credit Union’s ALM policy & regulatory requirements
Ensure all policies and procedures are suitably aligned to legal and regulatory requirements, and the external economic environment to which the Credit Union is exposed
Ensure effective internal controls and management information systems are in place
Lead by personal example and encourage all employees to conduct their activities in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and the existing member-centric ethos of the Credit Union
Report to the Board of Directors as requested or directed

The Person
Candidates aiming to fill this critical DCEO position will be able to demonstrate that they meet the following essential criteria:

ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified or similar accounting or finance qualifications
5+ years experience of working in a similar position
Experience in the dynamics of balance sheet management in a financial institution 
Experience in strategic planning to include the preparation and monitoring of forward looking statements 
Experience in the design and implementation of robust internal control, risk management and compliance frameworks 
A proven track record of managing staff
An understanding of Credit Union rules and regulations
Experience of or deep appreciation of the culture of Credit Unions
A customer-centric focus ensuring that a first class service is delivered to members

Lending Operations & Development Manager 

The Position
The Lending Operations & Development Manager will report to the Deputy CEO and will be primarily responsible for the operation of the lending function of the Credit Union in line with agreed strategic objectives.  Further principal responsibilities include:
Ensure credit policy and credit procedures are suitably aligned to the legal, regulatory and economic environment
Oversee and manage the lending function on a day-to-day level, including the management of the lending process workflow
Ensure operational compliance with credit policy and lending procedures
Ensure reports are made to the Credit Committee, CEO and the Management Team on the performance of the credit function
Deliver upon agreed strategic initiatives as they relate to the lending function
Provide feedback, reporting & market insights to the Management Team and the Business Development Team
Manage migration to a Targeted Sales Lending approach.
Lead Lending Channel Development/Management
Develop a lending product range and related Credit Union value proposition that aligns with the demographics and needs of those within the common bond
Develop and implement a lending marketing plan and manage all related lending marketing initiatives
Report to the Board of Directors as requested or directed

The Person
Candidates aiming to fill this Lending Operations & Development Manager position will be able to demonstrate that they meet the following essential criteria:

Primary Degree or equivalent, and preferably a Masters, in a business related field 
5+ years experience in a Loan Operations Management role
A proven marketing capability in relation to lending growth/development
Excellent Critical Thinking and Analytical Skills
Clear focus on member/customer service
Experience of or full appreciation of the culture of Credit Unions

Business Development Executive 

The Position
Within this four-year contract position the Business Development Executive will report to the CEO and will be primarily responsible for supporting the development, implementation and project management of a business development strategy and the delivery of associated income targets, in line with the strategic plan. Further principal responsibilities include:

Design and implementation of a focused business development strategy in line with the Strategic Plan
Develop and agree growth objectives, in consultation with the CEO & Board of Directors, across a range of strategic and operational business goals
Create a marketing plan that develops and aligns the Credit Union positioning, product range & value proposition with the demographics and needs of those within the addressable common bond area
Develop and promote a business development culture throughout the organisation
Manage all external PR related activities and communications to ensure consistency of message throughout
Develop and manage a Community Engagement Strategy
Develop and roll out a Membership Growth Strategy 
Report to the Board of Directors as requested or directed

The Person
Candidates aiming to fill this Business Development Executive position will be able to demonstrate that they meet the following essential criteria:

Minimum 5+ years experience in a results driven business development role
Primary Degree, and preferably a Masters, in Business or Marketing 
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Full appreciation of the culture of Credit Unions
Ability to motivate all staff towards business development

Remuneration for each of the above positions will be competitive and commensurate with the experience and skills of the selected individuals.
